Betting Basics - Payment Options

There are various ways you can deposit to and withdraw money from online betting accounts. Some methods are better than others, for example, some companies will charge you for using your credit card to make a deposit. Detailed below are all the main payment methods accepted by betting sites.

Credit Card

Using a credit card allows you to make an instant deposit and start playing immediately. However, some sites will charge a fee up to 5% on credit card transactions. Also some credit cards do not allow withdrawals to be made to the card and so other arangements have to be made to withdraw any winnings, such as cheque or bank transfer. Be aware too that some credit cards charge payments to betting sites as cash withdrawals.

Prepay Card

You can use prepay cards to make deposits into online betting accounts. These cards allow you to make online payments quickly and easily by depositing money onto your card via a debit or credit card and then using them to make a deposit. The disadvantage is that you cannot withdraw winnings to a prepay card so an alternative, cheque or bank transfer, is required for withdrawal.
